30 October 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to BIM and Project Management. The new resource is titled “BIM Execution Planning Guide.”

At the Penn State University there is a Computer Integrated (CIC) Research Program related to BIM. CIC Research Program’s main goal is to develop and disseminate a structured procedure for the adoption and implementation of BIM on Projects and in Organizations. Idea was to create a well-documented BIM Project Execution guide that will help ensure all parties are clearly aware of opportunities and responsibilities associated with the incorporation of BIM into a project work flow. So, BIM Project Execution Planning Guide was created.

This Guide provides a structured procedure for creating and implementing a BIM Project Execution Plan. Creating the plan, the team can follow and monitor actual progress against the plan. Adopting the structured procedure the project team will easily plan and communicate during the early phases of the project. Guide was developed to provide a practical manual that can be used by project teams to design their BIM strategy and develop a BIM Project Execution Plan.

Free Guide and templates for project execution are accessible; after clicking “Download”, enter requested personal information and download will start.

To access this new resource, go to the Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/, scroll down to find and click on BIM and Project Management, scroll down to find Guides, Requirements and Standards.
