Does PM Maturity matter for Software Development?

Latest article in series on project management maturity by Archibald and Prado reveals research results for software projects

8 July 2014 – Dallas, London, Sydney – In their 7th series article on the topic of maturity in program and project management for the PM World Journal, Russell Archibald and Darci Prado continue to share some results from their 2012 survey related to Information Technology. Their latest article is totally devoted to New Applications Development–Software (IT-NAD/SW). In the 2012 research there were 64 participating organizations from this area, with 1,472 projects. Final results showed an average maturity level of 2.64. According to the researchers, “this can be considered good for the Brazilian organizations, considering the short time in which the Project Management subject became popular in Brazil. But it is certainly a low score considering how much still has to be done.” Their latest paper can be accessed either from Russ Archibald’s author showcase at https://pmworldlibrary.net/authors/russell-d-archibald/ or Darci Prado’s author page at https://pmworldlibrary.net/authors/darci-prado-phd/.
