Access to information about mega urban development project in UAE added to PMWL

29 November 2016 – London, UK and Dubai, UAE – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) in the Major Projects section.  The resource is titled Falcon City of Wonders and is a mega urban development project in Dubai.

falconcityFalcon City of Wonders is a 40 million square feet mixed entertainment and residential project located on a 100 acre site within the city gateway precinct of Dubailand, is being developed by Falcon City of Wonders LCC and a company owned by a prominent local Dubai business man - Salem Al Moosa Enterprise.

Falcon City of Wonders is a large desert plot artfully designed and remoulded to resemble a falcon spreading its wings, and features scale reproductions of the seven wonders of the world including the Great Pyramid in Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Coliseum, Lighthouse at Alexandria, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, London Bridge, Big Ben, St Pauls Cathedral, Eiffel Tower and Great Wall of China. Launched in 2005 and to be developed in five phases at a total cost of $1.5 billion, the project stalled in 2010, then received a $2 billion injection in early 2016.
