International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor Project

17 September 2014 - Paris, France – The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) is an international nuclear fusion research and engineering megaproject, which is currently building the world’s largest experimental tokamak nuclear fusion reactor adjacent to the Cadarache facility in the south of France.  The ITER project aims to make the long-awaited transition from experimental studies of plasma physics to full-scale electricity-producing fusion power plants.  Est cost £15+ billion.  Access to this science mega-programme has been added to the PM World Library.  Go to the Major Projects & Programmes pages at https://pmworldlibrary.net/major-projects-programmes/, click on Science Megaproject.  Must be logged on library member to access.
