Merriam-Webster Dictionary and Thesaurus

Access to one of America’s oldest English dictionaries added to PMWL

18 September 2016 – Dallas, TX and New York, NY, USA – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) in the Glossaries and Dictionaries section.  The new resource is titled "Merriam-Webster Dictionary and Thesaurus."

For more than 150 years, in print and now online, Merriam-Webster has been one of America's leading and most-trusted providers of language information. Each month, their websites offer guidance to more than 40 million visitors. In print, publications include Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (among the best-selling books in American history) and newly published dictionaries for English-language learners. All Merriam-Webster products and services are backed by the largest team of professional dictionary editors and writers in America, and one of the largest in the world.

Accurate and effective communication is widely recognized as critical to successful program/project management (P/PM).  While P/PM - specific words, terms and phrases are important, a clear understanding of many other words is also often needed (and should be agreed) by both senders and receivers of project communications.  Access to this English language dictionary is now available to help improve P/PM communications.

To access this new resource, go to glossaries section in the PMWL at https://pmworldlibrary.net/glossaries-and-dictionaries/, click on English Language Dictionaries, and scroll down to find the resource.  Free access, but must be registered and logged in.
