Report from IRNOP XII PM Research Conference in London

Jouko Vaskimo reports on the most recent meeting of the world’s project management researchers in June

13 July 2015 – Helsinki, Finland and London, UK – Jouko Vaskimo, International Editorial Advisor and Correspondent for PM World in Finland, has provided a report on the IRNOP XII conference in London which he attended. The International Research Network on Organizing by Projects (IRNOP) holds an international conference every two years, bringing together some of the leading academic researchers in the project management field. Jouko’s report, full of great photos from the event, was published in July edition of the PM World Journal and added to the PM World Library this month.

According to Jouko’s report, “IRNOP XII conference was held in London, UK, on June 21-24, 2015. The conference, a biennial series started in Sweden in 1994, took place at the School of Construction and Project Management, a part of the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, University College London, and was organized by Dr Andy Davies, Professor in the Management of Projects, and Dr Hedley Smyth, Director of Research. The conference theme was The Power of Projects. The Bartlett School of Construction provided an excellent venue for the event, which the participants found appropriately informal and collegial, encouraging active exchange and networking…”
