10 March 2020 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Artificial Intelligence. The new resource is titled “7 Ways AI Will Help Humanity, Not Harm It” and is an article by Kashyap Vyas in December 2018 on the Interesting Engineering website.

There have been numerous speculations about Artificial intelligence killing jobs of humans and also invading our privacy by constantly capturing data in multiple ways. However, the ‘degree of usage’ is not taken into consideration while raising concerns. Human presence always ranks higher than the greatest of the robots.

This article highlights the positives of artificial intelligence with regulated ‘degree of interference’ which we would soon see in the near future. Here are a few highlights of the article.

  1. Smart Weather Forecasting: Climate Informatics, a collaboration between data scientists and climate scientists to analyze complex climate data.
  2. Disaster Response: More companies are now embracing artificial intelligence to fight disasters with algorithms.
  3. Army of None: militaries and machine intelligence are expected to work in tandem to conduct wars in future.

To access this new resource, go to the PM Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/, click on “Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Project Management”, scroll down to the resource. Must be a registered trial, student or full member and logged-in to access.
