29 July 2022 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Public Private Partnerships. The new resource titled A Scientometric Analysis of Project Monitoring Literature” is a research paper by Prof Timur Narbaev, Bolat Izbulov,  Alberto De Marco and Assel Kozhakkhmetova published in The Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration in June 2022.

In this article, the authors analyze scientific research to track trends in the field of Earned Value Management (EVM). Scientometric analysis was used to answer research questions about how the field of EVM research as a tool for project management has expanded since the 1990s.The authors used Cite Space and VOSViewer software for analysis and visualization.

The results showed that this area is gaining momentum very quickly and has become popular in the last decade. Many existing studies show not only the basic application of EVM, but also complex, capacious models that can be used for cost and time forecasting. This work can be used to identify gaps and identify further directions for the development of EVM , as well as provide basic knowledge about trends in this area.
