15 May 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of Risk Management. The new resource is titled “American Risk and Insurance Association - ARIA”.
The American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA) is a premier professional association of insurance scholars and other thoughtful risk management and insurance professionals founded in 1932 in Pennsylvania. Their goal is to include the expansion and improvement of academic instruction to students of risk management and insurance.
The association's membership is comprised of academics, individual insurance industry representatives, students, and retirees. ARIA emphasizes research relevant to the operational concerns and functions of insurance professionals, and provides resources, information and support on important insurance issues. ARIA provides networking, information and support to members who have access to ARIA's publications such as Journal of Risk and Insurance and Risk Management and Insurance Review, Annual Meetings and also annual Risk Theory Seminar. ARIA provides scholarships and grant opportunities, teaching resources and awards for teaching and research.
