29 April 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of Risk Management. The new resource is titled “APM RiskSIG – Risk Specific Interest Group of APM (UK)”.

The Association for Project Management (APM) is a registered charity founded in 1972 in United Kingdom. It counts over 21 650 individual and 570 corporate members which makes it the largest professional body of its kind in Europe. APM has 13 branches distributed all over UK and 14 Specific Interest Groups. One of them is a Risk Specific Interest Group.

APM RiskSIG aims to provide an environment which enables those involved in project management to develop a full understanding of risk management principles and techniques.  They sponsor training through APM Risk Certification and produce guidance on risk management through papers and publications, such as Project risk analysis and management (PRAM) guide, Prioritising project risk, Interfacing risk and earned value. The RiskSIG provides a forum in which to share knowledge and ideas, develop expertise and understanding, foster 'best practice' and actively promote the adoption of project risk management. It also holds four events per year, in January, April, July and October, in various locations around the country.
