3 July 2019 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Renewable Energy. The new resource is titled Artificial intelligence in a ‘no choice but to get it smart’ energy industry!, an article by Stephane Bilodeau, President and Chief Technology Officer at Novacab Inc. & Enerstat Inc.

Renewable Energy is a sector which provides great opportunities for the economy and the fight against climate change. But, with more pressure and shift in energy markets, the energy sector is facing changes that challenge not only its growth also its resilience. Moreover, due to the intermittent nature of solar or wind energy sources, Energy storage has gained huge importance in supporting changing demand.

However, to unlock the true energy value, proper control of storage and the complex dynamic nature of system through sophisticated software is required. Thus the author introduces Intelligent Energy Storage (IES) which is just pairing Renewable Energy (RE) with AI-driven storage systems. The author points out that AI opens a lot of possibilities to correctly optimize the size of the RE storage system and maximize the returns for the customer.

The author argues that with tremendous growth in customer base, the traditional electrical networks and systems has to become smart & flexible. AI helps to achieve this while optimizing users behaviour and managing energy consumption. Further the article discusses how the applications based on IES creates additional revenue opportunities and increase the efficiency via automation.

To access this new resource, go to the Industries and Organizations section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/industries-and-organizations/, scroll down to Industries for Advanced Technologies, click on “Renewable Energy (Products, Projects, Systems)”, scroll down to articles. Must be a registered trial or professional member and logged-in to access.
