16 May 2019 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Public P/PM Resources. The new resource is titled “ASTANA INVEST LLP”, is Nur-Sultan, Kazakstan’s Centre for Investment Development launched in 2017.

Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana) is a steadily developing capital and a modern metropolis with huge economic, transport and human potential to attract foreign investment. Over the past 20 years, the city has shown a steady growth of the main indicators of socio-economic development. The total investment in 20 years amounted to almost 8 trillion KZT (21 billion USD).  External investment in fixed assets in 2018 is 1.3 times more than in 2017.

The mission of ASTANA INVEST is to promote development of the capital through attracting investments in priority sectors of the economy, based on the principle of partnership between government and business. The functions of the Centre include interactions with investors on the principle of "one-stop shop", which means accompanying investors in obtaining public services; consultation with investors on the possibilities of placing proposed investment projects; and the use of state investment support tools (investment preferences, tax incentives, etc.). An important accompaniment for investors is assistance in the selection of land plots on the territory of Nur-Sultan.

Priority sectors for attracting investment are trade and logistics, modern production, housing, sport, culture, health, education, the financial sector and tourism.
