22 May 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to BIM and Project Management. The new resource is titled “buildingSMART.”

buildingSMART, international home of openBIM, is the worldwide authority driving the transformation of the built asset economy through creation & adoption of open, international standards. It is an open, neutral and international not-for-profit organization. The central idea is openBIM, a universal approach to the collaborative design, realization and operation of buildings based on open standards and workflows. openBIM is an initiative of buildingSMART and several leading software vendors using the open buildingSMART Data Model. Most known data standard, provided by buildingSMART, is Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) – common data schema that makes possible to hold and exchange relevant data between different software applications.160522 - Plecas - buildingSMART logo
