edX Free Online Courses from Harvard, MIT and Other Universities

Access to free online college courses from some of world's leading universities added to PM World Library

20 December 2017 – Dallas, TX, USA – Access to a major educational resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL).  The new resource is titled "edX – Free Online Courses." Founded by Harvard University and MIT in 2012, edX is an online learning destination and MOOC provider, offering high-quality courses from the world’s best universities and institutions to learners everywhere.  EdX’s mission is to:

  • Increase access to high-quality education for everyone, everywhere;
  • Enhance teaching and learning on campus and online; and
  • Advance teaching and learning through research.

EdX offers hundreds of free online courses in the following general subjects: Computer Science, Data and Statistics, Business and Management, Languages, Economics and Finance, Engineering, Humanities, Biology and Life Sciences. With more than 90 global partners, edX counts some of the world’s leading universities, nonprofits, and institutions as members. EdX university members top the QS World University Rankings® with founders receiving the top honors, and edX partner institutions ranking highly on the full list.
