14 January 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of project success factors. The new resource is titled “Factors in Project Success” and is a 2014 report prepared by BMG Research for APM in the UK.

Research aim was to refine a framework which identified the “Conditions for Project Success” and that provided a baseline evaluation of the current state of relevant project, programme, and portfolio activity. With inputs from a literature review, depth interviews with senior project professionals and educators, and the deliberations of APM and its partners, a framework of project success factors had been developed. The framework had 12 main success factors, each with a small group of contributory or subsidiary success factors. This framework was used as the basis of an on-line survey of 862 project professionals. Based on results of the survey, APM’s project success framework was refined.
