17 January 2019 – Warri, Nigeria – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Earned Value Management. The new resource is titled “If the Pharaoh had Only Used an Earned Value System in Building the Pyramids”, by Lieutenant Colonel William J. Neimann, USAF (Ret.) (1982), originally published in the Program Manager and now available online.

The developer of the great pyramid of Egypt might be looked upon as the father of program management. He had one of the first programs in recorded history that required a great deal of integration and coordination (i.e. program management). He did not, however, have the relatively new concept of "earned value" to assist in the management of this ambitious program.

To access this new resource, go to the Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/, click on “Earned Value Management”, scroll down to resource. Must be a registered member and logged-in to access.

This new resource provided through the PMWL research scholars program; to learn more, click here
