11 July 2017 – Milan, Italy – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to Project Management Careers. The new resource is titled “3 Ways To Kick-Start Your Project Management Career”, published by brightwork.com, an online blog, in order to help young professionals to enter the project management world.

The opening of this brief article highlights the importance of project managers, needed in all industries and organizations since they are responsible for getting things done; the author disagrees with the general opinion of not considering a project management role just after formal education; he suggests three tips to start a long and happy career in project management. First of all, it is fundamental to balance hard skills, the most analytical ones, with soft skills, sometimes called “people skills”. The second tip is to choose an experienced professional as a mentor and follow him, being proactive and prepared.

Finally, the last recommendation is just to start and take on the leadership of a project, possibly starting with a small one, ideally a project that has been completed before so it is possible to look back at the documents and learnings from a previous project and also consult the relevant project manager.

To access this new resource, go to the PPM Careers and Jobs section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/ppm-careers-and-jobs/ , click on “Careers in Project Management”, scroll down to resource. Must be a registered member and logged-in to access.
