Access to resource related to project management in maritime Industries added to PMWL

19 January 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of Marine, Shipping, Sea Transport Industry. The new resource is titled “Management by Projects in Maritime Organisations” and is a 2004 research prepared by Roumboutsos, et al., published in Operational Research Journal.
Research aim was to investigate the existence of management by projects in the Shipping Sector, to identify key features and speculate on the possibility of improved performance by introducing project management techniques and procedures. With inputs from a literature review and interviews with 4 different companies, article demonstrates how project management techniques can be used in the maritime industry.
