01 June 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to BIM and Project Management. The new resource is titled “National BIM Standard - United States.”

160601 - Plecas - US National BIM Standard LOGONational BIM Standard - United States (NBIMS-US) is a web page by the National Institute of Building Sciences buildingSMARTalliance, which provides consensus based standards through referencing existing standards, documenting information exchanges and delivering best business practices for the entire built environment. In May 2015, the buildingSMART alliance published the latest edition of BIM US Standard: National BIM Standard - United States Version 3 (NBIMS-US™ V3) built on the previous editions of the standard. The resulting document consists of 19 referenced standards, terms and definitions, 9 information exchange standards and 8 practice guidelines to support users in their implementation of openBIM standards-based deliverables. NBIMS-US™ V3 is freely accessible to anyone by creating an account on the website National BIM Standard - United States.
