22 February 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of project success. The new resource is titled “Optimizing Success by matching Management Style to Project Type” and is a 2000 research prepared by Shenhar et al., originally published on the PMForum website and now available on Max Wideman’s website.

Research aim was to provide better understanding of the project management process, and hence to higher levels of project success. With inputs from a literature review and the findings of the series of studies by Shenhar et al over the period 1993-1998 based on a collection of more than 120 projects, the paper demonstrates that failure to match an appropriate style to project circumstances can quickly demoralize the project work force and lead to unsatisfactory project results.
