Project Management: A Systems Approach by Kerzner

Access to online project management book added to PM World Library

15 January 2020 – New in the Library – Access to another online project management book has been added to the PM World Library.  The resource is the book “Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling” 8th edition, by Dr. Harold Kerzner, published by Wiley in the USA in 2003.

According to the author’s Preface: “This book is addressed not only to those undergraduate and graduate students who wish to understand and improve upon their project management skills, but also to those functional managers and upper-level executives who must provide continuous support to all projects. During the past several years, management’s knowledge and understanding of project management has matured to the point where almost every company is using project management in one form or another. These companies have come to the realization that project management and productivity are related… The textbook is designed for undergraduate and graduate courses in both business and engineering. The structure of the text is based upon my belief that project management is much more behavioral than quantitative…”

Editor’s note: This book is an early version of Dr. Kerzner’s classic textbook on project management, now in its 12th edition.
