Project Management Oversight Lessons Learned

USA Federal Transit Administration offers free access to transit project management cases

30 January 2016 - Washington, DC, USA - A new resource has been added to the PM World Library  (PMWL).  The U.S. government's Federal Transit Administration's Project Management Oversight (PMO) office has made available a set of project management lessons learned summaries from transit programs around the United States.  Access to this Lessons Learned Program has been added to the PMWL.

U.S. Department of Transportation Announces $77 Million to Expand Bus Rapid Transit Service in Eugene, OregonThe lessons learned program was developed with the assistance of FTA Project Management Oversight Program (PMOP) contractors, transit properties, and FTA regional engineers. The objective of Project Management Oversight is to assist FTA in its mission of ensuring that major capital transit projects are executed professionally, efficiently, and in conformance with applicable statutes, regulations, and guidance as well as sound engineering and project management practices. The focus of PMO services is to determine if a project is on time, within budget, in conformance with the grantee's approved plans and specifications, and is efficiently and effectively implemented.
