Shaping the Future of Health and Healthcare

Access to global healthcare initiative at World Economic Forum added to the Solving Global Problems section of PMWL

13 May 2018 – Davos, Switzerland – Access to a major new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to solving global problems.  The resource is called “Shaping the Future of Health and Healthcare”, the World Economic Forum’s system initiative to address the challenges related to providing quality healthcare around the world as the global population booms.

The world will be home to nearly 9.7 billion people by 2050, putting unprecedented stress on healthcare resources. Technological advancements are transforming care, but for whom and at what cost? What is basic care versus luxury? How is inclusive access-to-care ensured?

The World Economic Forum’s System Initiative on Shaping the Future of Health and Healthcare aims to transform the continuum of care – from prevention to diagnosis, treatment, cure and maintenance of health – to enable people to lead healthier lives and access the care they need to fulfil their potential.

To access this resource, go to the Solving Global Problems section of the PMWL at https://pmworldlibrary.net/solving-global-problems/, select “Solving Global Human & Social Problems”, click on “Improving Healthcare”. Free access to all.
