20 February 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of Public Project and Program Management Resources. The new resource is titled “The Tasmanian Government Project Management Framework” is published in 2011 and prepared under the authorization of Office of eGovernment, Department of Premier and Cabinet in the State of Tasmania.

The framework comprised of the Tasmanian Government Project Management Guidelines and Supporting Resources was developed in collaboration with practising project managers. The Guidelines are presented in two sections: Section 1 provides an overview of projects and describes the characteristics of a project, why projects need to be managed and outlines the project management lifecycle. Section 2 describes the eleven Key Elements of project management in detail with practical information on how they should be applied throughout the project lifecycle.

The Supporting Resources are Fact Sheets and Templates: Fact Sheets contain explanations and guidance on how to develop and manage key aspects of a project. Templates provide support to develop project documentation to plan, monitor and report on projects. Also, the templates have attached guides for their use and application.
