The Business Case for Business Cases

Axelos executive outlines the reasons for developing a project business case

31 August 2014 – Dallas, London, Sydney – “Beginning a project without first establishing the business case for that project is worse even than putting the proverbial cart before the horse. In effect, you’re letting the horse bolt and setting fire to the cart.” So says Neil Glover of AXELOS in the UK in his August PM World Journal article titled “The business case for business cases.”  In this article, Neil discusses the benefits, objectives and processes for developing business cases for project.  At the end of the day, he says: “Understanding whether the benefits profile of the project will be delivered can only be judged against the business case – otherwise, what is there to report against?”  To read the article, go to Neil’s author showcase page in the library at and click on the article.  Must be a logged in library member to access!
