Access to new resource related to major ICT projects & programs added to PMWL

5 March 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Major Projects and Programs. The new resource is titled “The FATİH Project”, a major project launched in 2010 to provide access to modern tablet computers and information .
Movement to Increase Opportunities and Technology or Fatih Project is a project of the Turkish government to integrate state-of-the-art computer technology into Turkey's public education system. Then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan initiated the project in 2010. All state schools from preschools all the way to high school level were to receive a total of 620,000 smart boards, while tablet computers were to be distributed to 17 million students and approximately one million teachers and administrators. This project was expected to be completed in 2015.
