3 April 2018 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to project procurement management. The new resource is titled “The impact of logistics innovations on project management”, a 2000 paper by Mary Poppendieck published by the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

The resource’s main focus is on the impact made by innovations in the field of logistics with respect to projects and project management activities. In this paper, great events in logistics are examined to uncover their impact on project management. There are various trends in every sector of an industry and by looking for trends in economic driving forces and noting innovations in logistics, project managers can predict the forces that will drive project management practices in the future.
