Access to global risk management society added to PM World Library

26 March 2016 – Zagreb, Croatia - A new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of Risk Management. The new resource is titled “The Risk Management Society - RIMS.”

160326 - Crnkovic - RIMS LOGOThe Risk Management Society (RIMS) is a global, not-for-profit organization founded in 1950 with headquarters in Manhattan. It represents more than 3 500 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable and government entities throughout the world. RIMS brings networking, professional development and education opportunities to its membership of more than 11 000 risk management professionals located in more than 60 countries.

It publishes Risk Management Magazine and holds RM Monitor Blog. Members have the opportunity to learn about risk management in workshops or by online courses and can also achieve RIMS-CRMP certificate. RIMS has 79 chapters, most of them, 66, in USA, 10 in Canada and one each in Australasia, Japan and Mexico. Every member of RIMS is also a member of their local chapter and is eligible for chapter-oriented, as well as society-oriented, benefits. Chapters offer local educational and informational opportunities, special events, community involvement projects and local networking with fellow risk manager and service providers. They also organize conferences and summits.
