Supply Chain Management Terms and Glossary

Access to glossary of supply chain terms from Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals added to PMWL

20 October 2016 – Dallas, TX and Ottawa, Canada - A new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) in the Glossaries and Dictionaries section.  The new resource is titled "Supply Chain Management Terms and Glossary."

Program and project management professionals need to understand the meanings of PPM terms and phrases.  Knowledge of specialized acronyms and terms used for communications, contracting and procurement, finance and cost control, general management, leadership, quality, scheduling and time management, and other skills and functions used for program/project management can also be very useful.  This is especially true when crossing borders or industries.

The Supply Chain Management Terms and Glossary is provided by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). Founded in 1963, the CSCMP is the preeminent worldwide professional association dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of research and knowledge on supply chain management. With over 8,500 members representing nearly all industry sectors, government, and academia from 67 countries, CSCMP members are leading practitioners and authorities in the fields of logistics and supply chain management. The organization is led by an elected group of global officers with its headquarters in Lombard, Illinois, USA.
