Laurie Ferrier

Laurie Ferrier is a senior project management professional and certified Prince2 practitioner with a wide range of experience in the financial services industry. She has held various roles and responsibilities along the past 10 years as a Project Manager, a Portfolio Coordinator, a Project Management Officer and more recently as a Portfolio Analyst. She has worked for multi-million Euro projects and portfolios in waterfall and hybrid environments on IT projects (mostly software development and legal compliance).
Her past experience as a PM as well as a PMO gives her a deep understanding of the two sides to a coin. As a Project Manager, she understands the challenges that project managers are facing while as a Project Management Officer she knows that without a strong rationale and relevant KPIs a project is doomed to failure. Laurie strives for building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. She applies the same formula when she mentors junior colleagues.
Laurie is a member and active volunteer of PMI, PMI Belgium and PMI Netherlands. She was a paper reviewer for the PMI National Conference in India in 2016 and 2017. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Institut Supérieur du Commerce (I.S.C.) in Paris and a Master’s degree in International Business Law from the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France.
Laurie is currently working as a project and business management consultant. Based in Brussels, she also serves as an international correspondent for the PM World Journal in Belgium, since 1 September 2021. She speaks fluent French, English, Dutch and Chinese.
