Recreating the World

Over the centuries, many of the world's most spectacular landmarks have been created through projects. Many of the most important accomplishments in countries around the world have been the result of major programmes and projects, sponsored by both public and private organizations - or by public/private partnerships. Today, major programmes and projects (including mega-projects) are underway worldwide, representing trillions of dollars of investment, in a wide variety of economic and industrial sectors. How can we separate P/PM from actual projects and programmes? In this section of the PM World Library we provide information about and access to major projects. We hope this information is educational, interesting and useful. (Note, major may be defined as large in capital cost or large in importance to residents and users of the programme or project.)
