Welcome to the PM World Library, an online set of resources supporting knowledge creation, knowledge sharing and continuous learning related to modern, professional program and project management (P/PM). The PM World Library is an educational and informative source of P/PM knowledge and information; it is also a showcase and service for those who create and share their P/PM knowledge and experiences.
The PM World Library is first an archive of all works originally published in the PM World Journal (PMWJ). The PMWJ is a digital journal published monthly since 2012 containing articles, papers, case studies, reports and other works by authors worldwide who have agreed to share their knowledge and experiences with others. Each edition also contains news stories about people and organizations engaged in project management, as well as articles about P/PM research, education, events, professional activities, industries, and actual programs and projects. Rather than just providing documents, however, the PM World Library provides a focus on authors, the creators of new P/PM knowledge. After all, how can we separate the message from the context - the environmental background, knowledge and experiences of those who create the articles and papers that we read? Visit the Author Showcase pages in the library for author profiles and links to the works by each author in the library. Contact individual authors for more information; this is where opportunities to share knowledge can really grow.
The Author Showcase is also a major service for individual authors, providing a single focal point where her or his works can be found on the web. If you have P/PM knowledge to share, consider submitting an article or paper for publication in the PMWJ, after which you too can have an Author Showcase section in the PM World Library.
The PM World Library provides much more than an archive for works produced by our authors. It also includes information about books, publishers, journals, magazines, blogs, websites, schools, organizations, public resources, news and other information of relevance to modern P/PM – and to project-oriented organizations around the world.
The PM World Library and PMWJ are produced and administered by PM World, Inc., an organization based in the United States but with advisors, authors, advisors, correspondents, officers, owners and stakeholders in various countries around the world. PM World is a virtual organization reflecting the 21st century reality of a connected world where individuals and organizations worldwide can collaborate for the creation, sharing and application of new knowledge.
