Dr. (Mrs.) Alolote Ibim Amadi is an Associate Professor and also a Head of Department (HOD) in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She has a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Construction Management from the University of Salford and a Master of Science (MSc. with Distinction) in Quantity Surveying from Northumbria University, UK. Alolote also has a Master of Philosophy (M Phil. with Distinction) in Environmental Management, in addition to a Bachelor of Technology (B Tech. First Class Honors) in Quantity Surveying from Rivers State University, Nigeria. Alolote is a Chartered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS) and Women Association of Quantity Surveyors in Nigeria (WAQSN) and is registered with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (RQS). Alolote is also a Member of the Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM), the Nigerian Environmental Society (MNES) and the Green Building Council of Nigeria (MGBCN). Alolote is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Policy Management Development (FIPMD).

Alolote has a strong forte in research, having published over 100 research articles, mostly in reputable international journals, books and conference proceedings, and has received numerous international awards for her publications. Alolote is a Section Editor, Editorial Board Member, and Reviewer for several high-ranking peer-reviewed international journals, indexed in top-level indexing platforms such as Scopus and Web of Science. Alolote has a strong international presence, collaborations and academic leadership, and has been appointed as a visiting professor and resource person by Universities in the UK as well as an external examiner for the Award of PhD degree in the UK. Alolote’s research interests lie mainly in the areas of building/infrastructure cost management, construction management and sustainable/resilient construction. Her research focuses on construction cost control, project management/governance, built environment resilience/adaptation to natural environment- with particular focus on the impact of climate and geology, green building and construction economics.
