Monjur Ahmed
is a Lecturer at the Centre for Information Technology (CFIT), Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), New Zealand. He holds BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University, UK; MS in Telecommunications from University of Information Technology & Sciences, Bangladesh; MSc in Electronics and Communications Engineering from University of Greenwich, UK; and PhD from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. His doctoral research was on a distributed and decentralised security model for Cloud Computing. Monjur is an active researcher. His research interests are in IT/IS security focusing on both technological and human aspects, mainly in contemporary computing approaches (e.g. Cloud and Decentralised Computing, IoT, and Big Data). Monjur has over 10 years of teaching experience in New Zealand, United Kingdom, China and Bangladesh. He has also facilitated several workshops globally.
