As citizens and leaders around the world step up to address global environmental and social problems, they are creating networks, organizations and initiatives to create positive change. Here are a few resources that might be of interest to those in the project management field who might like to get involved. These might also be useful references for research into project management approaches and projects that might be useful in the future.
Organizations
Social Value UK - A national network for anyone interested in social value and social impact. We work with our members to increase the accounting, measuring and maximising of social value from the perspective of those affected by an organisation’s activities, through our Social Value Principles. We believe in a world where a broader definition of value will change decision making and ultimately decrease inequality and environmental degradation. More at http://www.socialvalueuk.org/
