CIPS Procurement Glossary

Access to glossary of contracting and procurement terms from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply added to PMWL

13 June 2017 – Dallas, USA and London, UK - A new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) in the Glossaries and Dictionaries section.  The resource is titled "CIPS Procurement Glossary."

Program and project management professionals need to understand the meanings of many PPM terms and phrases.  Knowledge of specialized acronyms and terms used for communications, contracting and procurement, finance and cost control, general management, leadership, quality, scheduling and time management, and other skills and functions can also be very useful.  This is especially true when crossing borders or industries

The CIPS Procurement Glossary is available from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) in the United Kingdom. The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply exists to establish and promote high standards of professional skill, ability and integrity among all those engaged in purchasing and supply chain management. Established in 1932 and receiving its Royal Charter in 1992, CIPS is recognized internationally as a leading body representing the procurement and supply chain management profession.  With headquarters in the UK and subsidiaries in Australia, South Africa, the Middle East and China the Institute has a global community of over 94,000 in over 150 countries, making it the largest procurement association in the world.
