The McKinsey report on digital technologies, exploring their impact on how business is done across borders and trends for the future

5 March 2016 – Milan, Italy – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to Other Information affecting global P/PM. The new resource is titled “Digital Globalization: The New Era of Global Flows”.

The Institute is the research arm of McKinsey & Company, providing managers and policy makers with facts and insights from its studies. The report is short but very interesting because it shows the latest figures on digital technologies. Using statistics and indexes, it draws a clear picture of what is the present situation and the framework of what could be the future of digital technologies.

The findings shown in the report’s graphs are remarkable; for example, the trends of trade, finance and data flows are compared enlightening similarities and differences. This executive summary also contains a rank based on the MGI Connectedness Index, evaluating the development of digital technologies in the analyzed countries. Singapore tops the latest rankings, followed by the Netherlands, the United States, and Germany. China has surged from No. 25 to No. 7.
