18 April 2016 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to earned value management. The new resource is titled “Earned value management keeps engineering projects on track”. This is an article published in CENews.com in 2013 by Javier Sloninsky, managing director and CEO of EcoSys.

Earned value metrics indicate a project's direction and provide an early warning of cost and schedule problems.  Earned value management (EVM) was conceived as a method of measuring performance in a way that makes it easy to understand final outcomes based on the current trajectory of a project or program. Using cost and schedule performance and analysis of how these metrics interact, EVM techniques have been employed to great effect in the industrial and manufacturing sectors for many years to measure efficiency in producing output.
