New resource related to solving global problems added to PM World Library
17 August 2019 – Dallas, TX, USA – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to solving global social problems. The new resource is titled “Freshwater Project International“ and is an initiative to provide clean water, safe sanitation & hygiene facilities to people in villages, schools and health centers in Malawi, Africa.
Malawi is a poor landlocked country in Africa where people regularly have to drink, cook and bathe with dirty, diseased water. When there are no bathrooms at school, girls drop out because of the embarrassment. Lack of hand washing facilities allow water-borne diseases to quickly spread. And where there is NO clean water, there is NO joy. This group’s approach is unique in that they focus on one country and partner with communities to create projects that have a high level of impact and sustainability. The JOY of FRESHWATER means that people in Malawi can enjoy good health, attend school, provide for their families and improve their life quality.
To access this resource, go to the Solving Global Problems section of the PMWL at https://pmworldlibrary.net/solving-global-problems/. Under Global Social Problems, select “Access to Clean Water”. Free access; registration and login not required.
