4th June 2024 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to the future of project work and the Future of Project Management. The new resource, titled “Future of Project Work” is PMI’s 15th Pulse of the Profession Report published by the Project Management Institute (PMI) on PMI's official website in 2024.

The "PMI Pulse of the Profession 2024 Report" stresses the importance of adaptability in project management, especially as work norms continue to evolve. It highlights how factors like coaching, training, and community networks are closely linked to the success of projects. By urging organizations to strengthen these factors, the report promotes empowering teams to effectively handle change and develop resilience. Moreover, it challenges conventional ideas about how work location affects productivity, encouraging leaders to embrace hybrid models and allow teams to choose the most suitable approach for their projects.

Furthermore, the report underscores the crucial role of Project Management Offices (PMOs) in providing vital support and creating an environment conducive to project success. It suggests utilizing PMOs to offer essential resources, cultivate cultures of continuous learning, and adapt to new work methodologies. Through these approaches, organizations can better prepare project professionals to thrive in dynamic work settings, ultimately leading to improved project performance rates.

The report highlights the importance of adaptability in shaping the future of project management, advocating for organizations to embrace evolving work dynamics. It suggests empowering teams to navigate change effectively and challenges traditional notions about the impact of work location on productivity.
