9 March 2016 – Dallas, London, Sydney – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of project controls. The title is “Guild of Project Controls Body of Knowledge.”
The Guild has been formed at the request of the members from Planning Planet (PP) - the worlds' largest community in Project Controls with over 100,000 members. PP members are both employees and self-employed personnel not only across all relevant industries but also many of the largest global corporations and associated consultancies and professional services organisations. Some 600 individual PP members gave up their free time to help design, develop and implement the organisation.
The Guild of Project Controls has uploaded its free Project Controls Body of Knowledge (GPCBOKTM) and some 600 individual PP members gave up their free time to help develop and generate the GPCBOK which is free to download. The GPCBoK to all intents and purposes defines the subject matter that the Global Project Community believe to be neccessary in order to be a fully-rounded practitioner irrespective of Location or industry Sector. It is a living document being continually improved and also forms the knowledge-domains in regard to Certification by The Guild.
