International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)

Access to professional organization for systems engineering and management added to PMWL

14 January 2020 – Dallas, TX, USA – Access to a new resource related to other professional organizations has been added to the PM World Library.  Titled “International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)”, it is one of the world’s largest and most respected professional bodies devoted to systems engineering.

INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems.  INCOSE’s mission is to address complex societal and technical challenges by enabling, promoting, and advancing Systems Engineering and systems approaches.  INCOSE has maintained a strategic alliance with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the MIT Center for Engineering Program Excellence (CEPE) since 2011 which focuses integrating project/program management and systems engineering as means for improving project/program performance.  Formed in 1990 and based in San Diego, California, USA, INCOSE had over 17,000 members and 70 chapters worldwide in 2019.
