Access to IPMA Megaprojects Special Interest Group added to PMWL
8 September 2020 – Dallas, London, Sydney – Access to a resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to the management of megaprojects. The resource is IPMA’s Megaprojects SIG. According to their website:
The Megaprojects SIG is designed to encourage the development of standards, tools, practices, and competencies in megaproject management; and support future megaproject-related activities, including the organization of events, advanced courses, the inclusion of streams at the World Congress etc.
Activities of SIG members include exchanging information about megaprojects management; networking with an international community of specialists in the framework of IPMA and exchanging information concerning megaprojects across nations; joining the IPMA in creating a specific know-how; gaining insights from how megaprojects are adapting and dealing with common challenges around successful delivery of change; and reviewing and improving on Building Information Management (BIM) standards.
