Resource provided by Tony Itodo

25 January 2019 – Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to leadership in project management. The new resource is titled “Leadership & Management in Projects - Two sides of the same coin”, by Mark Romanelli and published in PM Times in 2018.

This resource gives an insight into what Management is, as well as what is meant by Leadership. It goes further to differentiate between Leadership and Management, describing Leadership as an influence process by an individual toward a group in the pursuit of achieving a set of goals or objectives, and describing Management as the process of coordinating, influencing, and organizing the activities in an organization in the achievement of business goals.

This resource concluded by analysing the overlapping characteristics of Management and Leadership with focus on Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, and Controlling

To access this new resource, go to the Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/, click on “Leadership in Project Management”, scroll down to resource. Must be a registered member and logged-in to access.
