Access to new resource related to project management in Kazakhstan added to PMWL

5 February 2019 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to public project management in Kazakhstan. The new resource is titled “Meeting on projects and project management in West Kazakhstan”, describing a meeting of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan with officials in West Kazakhstan in May 2018.
The Prime Minister’s working visit was completed with a meeting with government and business representatives in the region, where project management issues were discussed: working results were summed up and plans for further solving the tasks given in the “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global competitiveness", “New Opportunities for Development in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, “Five Social Initiatives”.
The projects discussed included:
- Roads repairs and reconstruction in the West Kazakhstan
- JSC Condensate, Oil refinery
- The defense industry, to provide JSC West Kazakhstan Engineering Company, JSC Ural Plant Zenit and JSC Scientific Research Institute “Hydropribor”.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakitzhan Sagintayev noted the need for the integrated implementation of target growth in 12 areas of development to effectively solving the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to create a new model of economic growth in Kazakhstan. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to pay considerable attention to the development and promotion of domestic enterprises, services and goods.
