Access to U.S. construction industry resource added to the PMWL
12 May 2020 – Dallas, TX, USA – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to construction project management. The resource is titled “National Academy of Construction” and is a not-for-profit organization established at the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 to recognize construction industry leaders across the United States and to provide an ongoing resource for the U.S. construction industry.
The mission of the National Academy of Construction (NAC) is to recognize and honor individuals for their distinguished contributions to the industry and to share this reservoir of expertise as a service to the nation. The NAC’s vision is be be recognized as one of America’s esteemed construction industry institutions characterized by extensive and diverse expertise, proven leadership, and trusted judgment.
The purpose of the Academy is to establish a body of acknowledged construction industry leaders and to provide them recognition through election to the NAC. Public advisory service may be offered from time to time as the need arises. The Academy will show recognition to fresh and novel industry achievement with appropriate awards programs. An important purpose of the Academy is to provide a network system of linkage between past and present participants in the construction industry. The Academy offers a library of Executive Insights, short articles and papers that capture the knowledge, experience, and wisdom gained through individual NAC member’s leadership roles in the Construction Industry.
