Peace Bridge Project

Economic development along with new bridge planned for important link between USA and Canada

16 October 2015 – Buffalo, NY, USA – A new effort is underway for the PM World Library to provide access to project information and PM resources related to Buffalo, New York in the United States. One of the most important projects in the area is the reconstruction of the “Peace Bridge” across the Niagara River connecting Buffalo, New York with Ontario, Canada.

The Peace Bridge is an international bridge between Canada and the United States at the east end of Lake Erie at the source of the Niagara River, about 20 kilometres (12.4 mi) upriver of Niagara Falls. It connects the City of Buffalo, New York, in the United States to the Town of Fort Erie, Ontario, in Canada. It is operated and maintained by the binational Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority. Reconstruction of the Peach Bridge is now scheduled for completion in 2017, at a cost of approximately $80 million. The project will include neighborhood redevelopment.
