10 June 2016 – Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to project and program management applications. The new resource is titled “Project Control in Project Management” and comes from the US state of Arkansas.
According to PMI’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), project control refers to “A project management function that involves comparing actual performance with planned performance and taking appropriate corrective action (or directing others to take this action) that will yield the desired outcome in the project when significant differences exist.”
The Project and Enterprise Program Management Office in the Department of Information Services, US State of Arkansas government, provides a good description of project control in their “Project Management Methodology.”
