16 April 2016 – Milan, Italy – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to a conceptual project-based entrepreneurship model. The new resource is titled “Project manager’s characteristics influence in the entrepreneurial process”. The paper was originally presented at the 2013 Druid Academy Conference.

Both entrepreneurs in real contexts and project managers in large companies, deal with unique temporary endeavors restricted to time, scope and resources i.e. projects. A research context in which these two roles are framed together could raise several theoretical and practical critics. However, if entrepreneurial opportunities and projects are considered as unit of analysis, a more flexible view focusing on some steps of the entrepreneurial process could be more reasonable to study.

The outcome of this paper is to suggest a project-based entrepreneurship model that shows the influence and relationships of project management characteristics in the entrepreneurial process. Another contribution is also discussed.
