15 February 2018 – Rome, Italy – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to the Security of Project Data, Information and Systems. The new resource is titled Scale: System Development Challenges. This research work published by Carol Woody and Robert J. Ellison on United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) website.

As observed by the authors, the usage and characteristics of large systems or systems of systems can challenge many current development assumptions. Vulnerability analysis has typically concentrated on vulnerabilities induced by errors in coding or in the interfaces among components. System interactions can also be a seedbed for vulnerabilities, however. This article describes software assurance challenges inherent in networked systems development and proposes a structured approach to analyzing potential system stresses using scenarios.

To access this great resource, go to the Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/, scroll down and click on “Security of Project Data, Information and Systems”. Must be a registered member and logged-in to access.
